One last tip of advice is about your pets, remember they too can carry ticks, and they should be checked daily and often. There are repellents that are on the market and available to the public to ward off ticks just remember that these repellents need to be washed away after returning home. Following these tips and a little knowledge can go a long way and keep you and your family safer from ticks and encountering a possible problem with Lyme disease.
